The Mid-State District United Methodist Women are sponsoring a mission trip to the Midwest Mission Distribution Center (an agency of the United Methodist Committee on Relief-UMCOR) in Chatham, ILL April 10-13, 2012.
Women will help pack, sew, assemble and do whatever work the Distribution Center need. Travel will be by Missouri United Methodist Church’s bus. Lodging is in dormitories on the Center’s campus. The group will do their own cooking but will enjoy a fellowship meal at Sugar Creek United Methodist Church on Wednesday night. Chatham is near Springfield, Ill where there are several interesting Abraham Lincoln museums.
Anticipated cost of the trip is about $150 per person, plus personal money for museums, etc. A non-refundable deposit of $20 will hold your reservation. Registration deadline is Feb. 15, 2012.
