Preparing for Christ's Coming with Prayer

A special time for prayer

Soaking Prayer is a time set aside to be with God. It’s a time to rest and become saturated with His Presence, experience His Peace and choose to be intimate with Him. Jesus declared, If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. (John 15:7 NKJ) Soaking prayer offers you a time to “abide” in Jesus, allowing His words and His Spirit to abide in you.

We encourage you to bring your Bible and a notepad as you might be drawn to journal during this time. Try not to come with an agenda, come expecting to tune in to God allowing room for God to decide what He wants you to receive.

We want you to be comfortable. You may sit, kneel or lie down on the pews or the floor. If you’d like you may bring a blanket or a pillow for your comfort. You may want to close your eyes to cut out any distractions. It is okay to fall asleep, prayer works even in sleep.

Each session will have different music, scripture or themes. If you’d like to attend all of these sessions you can expect each one to be different.

Prayer teams will be available for personal prayer following the soaking service.
